These are some of my favorite Kraftwerk songs. They were really fun to record and put together. I'll probably do some more. I was listening to man machine one day and felt like playing real drums along with the record, and here we are. Using the vocoder was especially fun because it was my first time using it. The Roland VP-03 really opens up a lot of possibilities for future recordings. I also used the Roland JU-06, Novation Bass Station 2, Ensoniq ESQ 1, and some other soft synths for the recording. The main drum parts are acoustic close mic'd. For the snare I used a shure 57, some Audio Technica dynamics for the toms, and Audix d6 for the kick. I used a mono overhead (Shure KSM 44). Enjoy!
